The most horrible day in the history of India-August 14th

August 14th is the day India was partitioned..the day in which the two arms of Bhaarath maatha were cut into pieces.the day on which the humiliation of Hindus started..the day in which Gandhi realized the consequences of his folly and the day in which India was damaged beyond repair.
Pakistanis call it their "Independence Day".They stress more upon the "Independence" they got from India rather than the independence they got from the British. It was the day in which the vicious cycle of violence, looting and molestation started. It was the day in which Hinduism-the world's oldest religion-was put to test.We have been ruled for post part of our Post-Independence era by the Indian National congress-the party which voiced its assent to the partition. So,we do not read anything about the sufferings Hindus who lived in what is today's Pakistan were subjected to.We have read nothing of the humiliations Hindu women faced. We have read nothing of the forced religious conversions that took place. We have read nothing of the way in which Hindus were driven out of their ancestral homes. We have read nothing of the desecration of thousands of Hindu temples. We have heard nothing of the the atrocities committed to innocent Hindu children and the murder of just born Hindu infants..Our history textbooks portray partition as a silent and peaceful affair..It is as though Gandhi and jinnah had a cup of tea and drew the line of Control and went to their lands along with their tribes. All this is done in the name of "secularism",which actually means treating all religions equally. What an irony!
The most tragic event in the history of Bhaarath is portrayed like a land-sharing deal..Dynasties have been washed away..Dynasties,whose legacies we will never come to know.Pakistan was born on Aug 14th and her first act was to spill Hindu blood.Just think for a moment-what crime did those innocent Hindus commit? What justification can anyone give to the killing of infants born to Hindu parents?
What was the necessity to drive Hindus out of the homes in which they had been living peacefully for generations?Only an Ismlami fundamentalist can answer these questions.........
The birth of Pakistan was for all practical purposes-the death of Hindu pride.Hindu women were made to clothelessly parade in the streets of what is today known as Pakistan(translated as "Land of the pure").Many of them committed suicide to protect their modesty. Those were the very streets which they would've crossed a few days ago to buy vegetables for their families and toys for their children. They perhaps never knew all this would happen..It  all happened too quickly for them to anticipate or comprehend..All this happened in the presence of the police, who provided total support to those blood-thirsty muslims..The impact one wrong decision can have..
The national boundaries were drawn on August 17th,1947..So,for a good period of time,Hindus didn't even know if they were in India or Pakistan. All this favored those religious fanatics superbly..While all this was happening,Gandhi and Nehru were nowhere to be seen. The so-called Mahatma who claimed to  champion the cause of women's rights saw no reason to protect the modesty of Hindu women in their hour of doom..it was Pakistan,he claimed..but,it was Pakistan due to his blunder. Was it the mistake of those women that they were born as Hindus and as women??It said that even M.A.Jinnah later claimed that partition was the greatest blunder of his life..
August fourteenth,1947 poses so many questions  to humanity..Questions to which we will never get answers..
Before you people wake up tomorrow and celebrate Aug 15th as Independence day, please pray God that nothing of this sort happens again...

  5. SO do u think its only the muslims who brutalized Hindus. The blunder lies on the other part tooo.Hindus were the one to start these brutalism by their traditions.Castes, dono how people fall into such a pit. They tend to forget the causes but follow the effects alone.I feel the rage plunging through my mind when i here these words of castes and religion.Speaking about Mahatma,If it was not for him Hindus and muslims would be more tortured than what happened in the past,Freedom was the word which freaked the minds of people(hindus and muslims). Its not Mahatmas fault any way The only blunder he made is struggled for the sake of others

  6. But,what was the necessity to agree to the partition? What purpose did it serve??we face so many problems from pakistani terrorists..have you forgotten 26-11??the ISI-intelligence agency of pakistan-funds terrorists organizations.do u support that?right from the time of mohd.ghazni down to jinnah to kayani, hindus have been at the recieving end of islami savagery.Gandhi-the curse to Hinduism is a book written by Gandhi's grandson-Ramdas Gandhi..In that book,he calls Gandhi-the curse for Hinduism.I think he would know Gandhi better than you or me..Can u give any justification for these portions being omitted from the history textbooks??If Hiroshima,Black hole tragedy, atrocities of Hitler are publishable, then these events too are....

  7. I completely agree with ambarish... if Gandhi had not agreed to the terms of partiton at that time, partition would never have taken place.. even now India is not takin firm steps against 26-11 culprits.. wonder if India is actually independent. should it really celebrate independence day?

  8. If the partition has not taken place there would have been more blood shed and terrorism . India would have become vulnerable to terrorism might be like what had happened all these years in Srilanka.Hope u havnt forgot the incidents in mumbai before partition.Gandhi too dint support the partition but he was forced to sign the agreement. He couldnt tolerate the blood of his fellow human, being shed.On a religious view Gandhi could be seen as a curse But on Humanitarian grounds he is a messenger of love & peace(God accordin to my concern). And on the 26/11 part Indian government is to be blamed. They were warned earlier but were more concerned about their own safety not of the nation.. If they had been more alert such an incident wouldnt have happened. Also I believe 26/11 have more hidden stories where certain high officials(India) involvement are to be revealed. There are patriots whose serve the country in extremities for the affluence of the some cur officals of high society.64 years has passed, every single person had tasted and got tired of IT.We all have forgot the actual struggle The anthem and all its glory is fading away with time.Every thing has become a matter of words not of heart, thats why such sort of question leaps.Independence is never a matter of word but of heart. Its someting not to be celebrated but to be remembered.please never let ur mind even to think of such issues...

  9. @Bala:
I don't know what happened in Bombay before the partition.I never thought anyone would support the killing and bloodshed that happened as a result of the partition. And,do u say India is not vulnerable to terrorism nowadays??Vande mataram was the song that united India during the freedom struggle. But,it was not made the national anthem due to objections raised by certain sections among muslims..So,we have "Jana gana mana".So,why do you want me to be patriotic when there is no one to listen to the opinions of the people of my religion? My grandfather died in the freedom struggle, when my father was 5 years old.The central government hasn't given a single rupee to support our family..What did my grandpa achieve by dying for this country??Nothing..anyway,i think we have to agree to disagree on certain issues..thanks for visiting my blog da..take care..

  12. one hand cannot make a clap.if muslims love a peaceful india then they must not be demanding kashmir. they must completely dissociate themselves from anti-india forces.then only hindu muslim unity can be a reality.

  14. Why don't you make a strong case against those in power by writing something that is well researched. You could have referred to Nathuram Godse's -"why i killed gandhi" statement in his court trial. You could've researched into Nehru's role in accepting this deal. Just an emotional outburst won't suffice

  15. //While all this was happening,Gandhi and Nehru were nowhere to be seen// - Seriously??? Gandhi was bringing peace in Calcutta, Noakhali and then in Delhi...Killings in these places stopped just because of Gandhi....I am not defending Gandhi's every action...but to say he did nothing to stop partition or to hold him singularly responsible for partition is stretching a bit too far...If Gandhi was not assassinated he would have walked to Pakistan, Jinnah would have died as he died of TB the very same year and partition woul dhave come to a nothing in all probability....

and even if he was wrong with actions during the course of partition, that was his decision...he was a representative of the masses of the country and there was no stronger leader than him....even leaders like Patel and Rajaji were reconciled to the fact of partition long before Gandhi....and we revere Patel and Rajaji and hate Gandhi is it?
